In February 2012 we received a compelling application from a 25 year old Sikh young man. His father had just passed after a heart attack and left his family in despair. As a textile merchant he worked hard to enable the education of all four of his children. S.B. the older son, just completed the 3rd year of the Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery to become a doctor. But now that his father passed away, there would be no source of income for his family. His uncle could not accept the responsibility of taking care of their education, so S.B. would have to drop out even though he only had two more years to go.
We were more than happy to support him in his last two years and we are very proud of his determination. He is currently finishing his last year.
